About Amborish Saikia
Hailing from the small yet smart City of Guwahati,Amborish Saikia has carved a niche for himself in the regional, national as well as the Bollywood industry. He is considered as one of the most influential guitarists of North East India.
An avid music lover since childhood, Amborish has been brought up in an atmosphere of music where most of his family members have been associated with some kind of musical instrument or singing.
During his teens itself he successfully formed his first professional band "Voodoo Child" with his friends and started performing all over the North East and the country at large.A major boost in his career happened when his band "Casino Blue" won the prestigious Rock-i-lution trophy, an all India competition. From then on they started touring all over the country and performed as the opening band for international bands Megadeth and Machine Head. Amborish has also opened for the international band Smokie with his Rock fusion band "MO & the Shooting Stars."
In 2010 a big leap of faith took place when he was seen performing by one of the members of the band "Euphoria" and was given the offer to join them. He then moved to Delhi for the same and that was how he made his mark in the national music scene.While he was in Delhi,he formed another rock and roll band Late Too Soon in the year 2012 whose songs were featured on MTV,VH1,Channel V etc.
In the year 2019, Amborish moved to Mumbai and started his stint as a free lance guitarist. He works with various Bollywood artists such as Anusha Mani, Payal Dev and Aditya Dev, Thomson Andrews KK,Divya Kumar,Asees Kaur,Bombay Vikings,Ritu Pathak, besides playing with Euphoria. Amborish has also worked with other popular singers of the industry such as Ankit Tiwari,Papon,Shibani Kashyap, Abhijeet Sawant,Kshitij Tarey,Meghna Mishra,Jazim Sharma,Abhijeet Srivastava to name a few.
Besides performing for live gigs all across the country and the globe, Amborish is also involved in various studio recordings and has worked for popular OTT platforms,movies and jingles. He is also involved in music arrangement and production.Amborish has recently co-produced an album for an upcoming Independent artist Vighnesh Sinkar and is also working on his second EP.
Amborish has been instrumental in the lives of many guitar players as he has been a music teacher for the past 20 years.
Amborish always believes that anything is possible in life and the biggest example he would like to share is that he completed his MBA from IMT Ghaziabad while doing full time music and touring regularly.
Akash is a long time friend cum brother to Amborish with whom he has been associated since Casino Blue days. So when Akash came up with the idea of Jaivik Swar,he cldnt say no! Amborish has always been a fan of Akash's bass playing and is really happy and thankful to be a part of this project. Besides Akash, the band has two other immensely talented musicians- Nawaz on drums and Amarabha on vocals...he just can't wait to be on stage with them!!
To end his note he would like to say that Jaivik Swar is a very honest project and he has immense faith and belief in it and really hopes that the band can strike the right chord in everyone's heart .
